Solutions for Multi-Brand Networked Surveillance

For a long time, networked video solutions lacked a global interface standard that permits multi-brand product compatibility and therefore eliminates communication problems between manufacturer A and manufacturer B. The new ONVIF standard tackles precisely this problem: it guarantees that products can exchange information regardless of the manufacturer and they can therefore be used together in a multi-brand system. Nearly all eneo IP products support the ONVIF standard and they therefore can also be installed in third-party vendor systems or used with third-party vendor products.

The ONVIF standard currently primarily supports basic functions such as IP configuration, detection of devices, management of devices, media configuration, real-time display, event handling and PTZ control.
